The business power of AI for strategic renewal in the intelligent economy
Turna d.o.o. is a development and manufacturing company and a B2B partner to international household appliance manufacturers. Its leadership used the in-house AIVaaS™ Academy to connect AI with customers, business strategy and the company’s future.
Background
Competitive and cost pressures increased the need for efficiency and for a shift in Turna’s position as a reliable supplier. Managers already used general-purpose AI tools individually, but the organisation as a whole was not seeing sufficient benefits.
Challenges
- Additional training was not an obvious priority in a successful company with many ongoing commitments.
- Managers saw AI mainly as an assistant for individual tasks.
- Different views of AI had not been connected into a shared assessment of its role in business development and competitiveness.
- Leadership ambition remained focused on isolated applications within business functions.
Objectives
- Broaden the business understanding of AI and connect it with Turna’s future.
- Develop a shared leadership mindset and ambition for AI.
- Apply new knowledge to the business changes required.
Delivery
The Academy combined training for the entire leadership team, three interconnected structured assessments, joint discussion and direct application of knowledge in strategic workshops.
Results
- A breakthrough in understanding AI’s business significance for customers, business models and Turna’s competitive position.
- A higher, jointly defined AI ambition and a shared vision of the company’s desired future.
- Support from all key managers and stronger commitment to moving forward together.
- A concrete strategic foundation with interconnected directions, strategic moves and target states.
Client perspective
“With the AIVaaS™ Academy, we at Turna gained a new perspective on what artificial intelligence means for our customers and our company’s future. The Academy brought us closer together and strengthened our alignment as a leadership team. At the same time, managers became increasingly committed to and supportive of a more ambitious, shared business direction built on AI. Today, we have AI-infused strategic directions and a clear vision of the company’s business future that we could not have developed without a sound understanding of AI.” — Vladimir Pogač, CEO, Turna d.o.o.
